Production: Evidence of good quality photos for the Film poster

We only took two photos for the film poster as we knew what we were looking for.

We knew that for the film poster we were going to merge half my face and half of Elizabeth’s face into one face. We wanted to do this as it was effective at conveying that there were two sides to the character and this fitted into the genre.
We took this photo of me. We wanted it to be simple against a plain background in order to make it easy to edit in Photoshop. I pulled back some of my hair In order to make it easy to cut around in Photoshop. We liked this photo as there was direct mode of address, which would make the audience pay attention to the poster as they feel the character is watching them. We also liked this photo as it was similar to Elizabeth’s and this meant that it would be easy to merge the two photos.

This is the second photo we took of Elizabeth. We liked this photo as it was in similar format to the previous picture. The same position was used for each photo, which meant that it should be easy to merge the two pictures together. We comparing the two photos, we liked the fact that our measurements from our eyes to our mouths were around the same distance meaning that they would be symetrical when we put them together. The use of the same hairstyle for both photos also meant our picture would have good continuity.

The expression on mine and Elizabeth's face were the same as they were both serious and showed that the character was disturbed.
